Lingenfelter Performance Engineering,
The powertrain warranty is serviced by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. It covers the modifications completed and certified at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering on the C8 Anniversary cars referred to as the “Cunningham Performance Package” for a period of 3 years / 36,000 miles. As described below in the following statement from Lingenfelter.
The Lingenfelter 3 year / 36,000 Mile Warranty is applied specifically to the work and components installed on the C8 Anniversary cars which make up the “Cunningham Performance Package” and should not be considered or implied as a replacement for the factory warranty.
Like any new vehicle modification, the Lingenfelter “Cunningham Performance Package” can affect your remaining power train warranty from GM. It is at the dealer’s discretion if other components such as the transmission or differential unit will be covered by the GM power train warranty. In most cases your GM warranty will still cover the rest of the vehicles components not related to or covered under the Lingenfelter warranty.
In the case of a warranty claim or issue Lingenfelter Performance Engineering will either cover repairs or advise on actions to resolve. Repairs can generally be performed at a local Chevrolet dealer or by an ASE certified GM mechanic in the customers area. Each case will be evaluated individually to determine if repairs can be performed correctly locally. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering reserves the right to require the vehicle to be returned at the vehicle owners’ expense for warranty repairs. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering does require an estimate be submitted for approval before we will pay for repairs.
Lingenfelter engine package warranties are covered company direct not through a third-party insurance policy. Our 47 years engineering performance packages for GM vehicles, and using the best available materials and components, allows us superior confidence knowing our packages equal or exceed factory durability.
The above warranty statements shall constitute the sole remedy of the purchaser and the sole liability of Lingenfelter Performance. To the extent permitted by law, the foregoing is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties or representations whether expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness. In no event shall Lingenfelter Performance Engineering be liable for special or consequential damages
